Home2 Suites by Hilton - Fisher House logo, Helping Military Families

Home2 Suites Fayetteville announced their Your2 Hands partnership with Fort Bragg Fisher House.

The Fort Bragg Fisher House provides a comfortable place to stay for the families of injured U.S. service men and women who are wounded in the line of duty and are rehabilitating their injuries. The Fisher House Foundation relies mainly on the generosity of the American public to build future homes.

Property Involvement:

  • Home2 Suites hotel and corporate brand team members updated all seven rooms at the Fisher House with a donation of new bed frames, box springs and mattresses, as well as new bedding, blankets, iHome clock radios, bath towels, bath mats, wash cloths, and a variety of toiletry items - a truckload of items valued at almost $20,000.
  • Larry Blumberg & Associates (LBA) Hospitality, who developed the Fayetteville Home2 Suites, shared its generosity with a gift of $2,000.
  • Team Members volunteered 30-40 hours in Your2 Hands community efforts in 2011, the first year of partnership.
  • The second year of the hotel’s volunteer efforts began with a silent auction and Valentine’s Day bake sale that raised $700.

The property not only focused on Fisher House but also other charitable contributions, including sponsoring a car wash event raising $200 in donations, fostering pets for local shelters and rescue groups, as well as supporting the Army, by writing thank you cards to veterans at the local VA Hospital. The property donated blankets and sheets to a local mosque that distributed them to homeless men and women throughout the Fayetteville community; in addition discarded linens were donated to various pet rescue groups throughout the area.
